The Aftershock

When I woke up today, actually hindi ko talaga alam kung anong una kong gagawin. Hindi naman ako dapat magmadali dahil wala naman akong lakad. Oriented naman ako na June 12 at Independence day ng Pilipinas. (Punitin ang mga sedula!) Napatingin ako sa gilid ko. Nakita ko ang mga super close na MS edition 1 and 2, psyche ni sia, PHN book ni iyay at mga handouts. Para sa may mga “sistema” na tao, supposedly kukunin na nila yung librong babasahin nila. Ihahanda ang kape at olah! Start na ang pagbabasa. Pero para sa mga normal na tao, ang hawak nila syempre ay dyaryo. Ngunit, subalit at datapwat may pagka-animism ako ngayon, bawal hawakan ang libro.Na-stressed din sila last week.

Considering the fact that yesterday was the last day of licensure examination, it’s a total relief for the June takers. Ay… hindi pa pala because wala pa yung results. But at least, tapos na sagutan ang 500 super critical thinking questions. Nagenjoy masyado ang mga onco nurses sa paggawa ng question at ang kaluluwa ng nursing research (na sinasabi naming walang kwenta nung 3^rd year dahil wala kaming natututunan mula sa prof) ay nagkalat sa exam. And kagaya ng tanong ng marami… “hoi! Balita ko mahirap ang exam ha?”. Ahm, sige “No comment”… muna ako dyan. “Res ipsa loquitor”… magsasalita yan’ when the test results are already released.hehe

Ang masasabi ko lang, hindi naman patalinuhan yan’, bakit nagki-quiz – bee ka ba?! Hehe. Di ba nga ang priority ng nurses are ABC’S of life plus the super SAFETY of our patient. So, I therefore conclude that the nursing board exam is conducted to determine how safe you are as a nurse and not how intelligent you are. It is created to guarantee that only safe and competent nurses are allowed to practice the profession.

For the june takers, magunwind na… and continue being confident with the Lord’s love that he’ll provide what is best for you. Whether you top, pass or fail, it’s a part of your journey here on earth that someday it will make us better persons. For December takers, mag-aral mabuti.
